Names like Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudamire, Brandon Roy, Chris Bosh, Danny Granger, Joe Johnson, and Baron Davis were all thrown out there. 

I went back to www.basketball-reference.com and did some research to find out just who is the best scorer in the game today without a 50-point game.

the season 115-107 on Friday.  Randolph led the Grizzlies with 30 points and seven rebounds.

Chris Bosh led all scorers with 37 points.  Sure, that is a high number, but the Grizzlies forced him to try to beat them single-handedly, focusing their defense on Hedo Turkoglu, who burned them in the past as a member of the Sacramento Kings.  Turkoglu managed only 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting.

The Grizzlies caught a break with the absence of Toronto's Chris Bosh on Saturday, and they took advantage of it by beating the Raptors 78-70.  The Grizzlies were shorthanded themselves, playing without three of their regulars.  Rudy Gay was a late scratch because of a sore hip, a sprained ankle sidelined Kyle Lowry, and Darrell Arthur missed his second straight game due to a family illness.  With those three out the win became even sweeter.

d the other reserves need to step up.

Darrell Arthur gets the difficult matchup against Toronto's Chris Bosh.  He did a fairly good job against Tim Duncan with Darko Milicic out of the lineup, but Bosh is the new superstar center in the league.
