Darko Milicic turned in one of his top two or three statistical nights of the season, scoring 13 points and collecting 11 rebounds, while Mike Conley nearly put up a triple-double, finishing with nine points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Darko Milicic provided an unusual spectacle in the third quarter when, after being benched following a technical foul, he ripped his jersey down the front from collar to tail. The incident represented his frustration, but he contributed five points, five rebounds and a block.

Darko Milicic got his second start of the season in place of Darrell Arthur in an effort to match San Antonio's large lineup. The move turned out to be a huge success as Darko played easily his best game of the season. He finished with season-highs in points and rebounds, with 11 of each. He also had two steals and two blocks while helping to contain Duncan. Four Grizzlies finished in double figures as Rudy Gay finished with 13 points and Marc Gasol added 10.

For the first time all season the Grizzlies played four solid quarters of basketball. The Kings (4-8) managed an 8-2 run to start the second quarter that trimmed the lead to 34-33, but a 16-4 Memphis run put them away for good. The teams traded baskets more in the third quarter, but the Grizzlies maintained their shooting touch and played relatively good defense. Even playing with a large lead didn't throw off their concentration. Hopefully this will give them the confidence they need to rid themselves of their third-quarter demons for good.

Everyone pitched in for the Grizzlies, from the veterans to the rookies. Even Darko Milicic looked impressive in the first half before getting ejected with two quick technical fouls late in the second quarter. Warriors coach Don Nelson was far more animated and followed an official onto the court in the fourth with no consequences. The officiating left much to be desired as far as fair and balanced goes, but you can't expect the game to be called fairly for the visiting team anyway. The Grizzlies attempted 30 free throws to the Warriors' 43. The game was very physical, and in basketball a foul occurs on every play whether it's called or not, so there really isn't much of an argument for the Grizz there.

Darko Milicic isn't the answer inside. He did make a few shots, but he is not a good defender and sometimes looks lost on offense. When Gasol is struggling, someone needs to pick up the slack down low, and Milicic is not going to give you 20 points and 10 rebounds in very many games. The Kings held a key advantage in the post with Mikki Moore scoring six points and grabbing 11 rebounds and Spencer Hawes putting up 13 points, three rebounds and a block.
