zlies faded in the second half of a 91-80 loss after putting up a fight for the first 24 minutes.

Tim Duncan controlled the paint and was more of a factor than he had been in earlier meetings.  On the flip side the Grizzlies had one of their patented third-quarter flops that turned the game in the Spurs' favor.  The Spurs led only 44-40 at the half before going on a 23-8 run in the third.  Duncan had plenty of help as Manu Ginobili scored the Spurs' first seven points of the fourth to snuff out a Grizzlies rally.

t, but the Big Three came up large this time around.  Tony Parker scored a game-high 32, while Tim Duncan added 29 and Manu Ginobili finished with 20.  The Grizzlies dominated the second quarter, only to see their lead disappear in the third, a flashback to their early-season struggles.

Mason and George Hill in particular.  Each of them has burned the Grizzlies this season.  Tim Duncan has not dominated the Grizzlies this year but is always a threat to make a clutch play.

As if one game against Tim Duncan and his supporting cast isn't enough, the Memphis Grizzlies will face off against Duncan's San Antonio Spurs tonight for the second time in five days. The teams squared off Monday, with the Spurs using their bench to handle the Grizzlies 94-81.  After tonight, the Grizzlies won't have to deal with the Spurs until the end of December.  As the schedule worked out this season the teams will meet in San Antonio on Dec. 27 and in Memphis on Jan. 2 to close out the season series.  If the Grizzlies can make it through tonight's game, they have Oklahoma City (1-14) coming to town tomorrow.

lies did.  They were able to find their shooting when they needed it in the second half.  Tim Duncan had a good night, but not a great one for the Spurs.  What made the difference was the play of their bench.  Little-known George Hill scored a team-high 20 points off the bench for the Spurs, while Mason finished with 18.  Duncan totaled 14 points and 11 rebounds.

t their star guards Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker.  The Grizzlies will still have to deal with Tim Duncan in the post, but even he has looked human this season, seemingly a step slower than in the past and clearly not the dominant center he has been over the last five-plus seasons.
